Recently, according to the ministry of industry and information technology of gansu province (gansu ministry [2019] no. 397), the Gansu industry technology center of development and utilization of Tibetan medicine, applied by the school of pharmacy Lanzhou university, has been approved. 

　　In the past decade, the development and utilization of traditional Chinese medicine and natural medicine has become an important trend of the world health industry. However, the industrialization level and scale, technological innovation ability and the amount of famous brands in Gansu are far behind the developed coastal areas. As the key milestone of the school of pharmacy in 2019, the approval of this center will further facilitate the high-value utilization and transformation of western medicinal plant resources, providing technical and intellectual support for the economic development of local pharmaceutical industry. The center will focus on the upgrade of medicine technology, quality standardization, and the development of new mode and methods in the process of traditional Chinese medicine, and eventually boost local economic development.
