1. General Information

Institute of pharmaceutics has a reasonable research and teaching staffs with high-level education background， Among them, one staff is Ph.D advisor, two staffs are professors /M.Sc advisors, two staffs are associate professors//M.Sc advisors, two staffs arelecturers, one staff is senior laboratory technician. Among them, one staff is the leading talent of Gansu province and six staffs having doctor` degree.

2. Research Field And Characteristics

The research team is working closely with clinical requirements, mainly engaged in the basic and clinical application research on drug delivery systems and new preparations. 1. Studies on new types of peptide targeting release systems and Ppreparation; 2. Studies on drug-loaded nanoparticles delivery systems; 3. Design and evaluation of sustained or controlled preparations; 4. Targeting drug delivery systems and their biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics.

The research team has taken charge of three Natural Science Funds of China, one key project of the Ministry of Education. As the deputy leader of the project, participated in one "863" project, two national Ministry of Science and Technology mega R&D projects of "New Drug Innovation ", and a number of scientific research projects of Gansu province and prefecture-level governments. Furthermore, one research achievements get the first-prize for science and technology progress of the national Ministry , four research achievements get second-prize awards for science and technology progress of Gansu province and two research achievements get third-prize awards for science and technology progress of Gansu province. Eight patents were authorized by national State Intellectual Property Office. Hundreds of research papers have been published.

3. Teaching and courses

The institute mainly undertakes teaching many pharmacy professional courses for undergraduates: Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutics of TCM, Introduction to Clinical Pharmacy, and New Preparations and Dose Forms, in vivo Pharmacokinetics as well as Introduction to Drug metabolism for graduates. Additionally, the institute also undertake teaching work of adult education related subjects.

The Courses of Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics we undertake were received high praise. Pharmaceutics was awarded the Excellent Course in Gansu province in 2006. The teaching team was awarded the Excellent Teaching Team of Backbone Basic Courses of Lanzhou University in 2014. The institute compiled one experiment book “Experiment and Guide for Pharmaceutics” based on the teaching experience during nearly 50 years.
